Bergen Hammam is run by a
not-for-profit association for the promotion of holistic wellbeing. It
is registered in the Norwegian register of entities with organisation
number 990 826 706. It is the only enviromentally friendly Hammam in
Norway. All proceeds from your entry fee go to social projects and the
masseurs are paid the full price of the massage fee.
The Hammam tradition originates in Turkey where steam baths and massage services were a part of social life .
This hammam is entirely handbuilt and was the first hammam built in Norway.
You will need to bring your swim costume and other things you usually bring to the swimming pool. You may rent towels and bathrobe in the hammam, and also buy face mask, soap, shampoo and scrub mitt.
It is possible to rent the whole Hammam for your private party; give us a ring and we will give you your special price!
